Location: Perth-based FIFO to a leading mining site
Roster: 8/6 or 4/3 (ex-Perth)
Contract: Initial 6-month secondment

Are you a dynamic and results-driven Project Scheduler looking for your next challenge? A leading mining company is seeking an experienced professional to support capital project planning and execution at their mine site. This role is a FIFO position (8/6 or 4/3 roster) reporting to the Project Controls Senior and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to major mining projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Level 4 schedules for capital projects, ensuring alignment with key milestones and deliverables.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders across engineering, procurement, shutdowns, and operations to coordinate project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to keep schedules on track.
  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports, forecasts, and risk assessments using Primavera P6 and Power BI.
  • Regularly update schedules while maintaining compliance with governance frameworks and project control standards.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and progress reviews to drive successful project execution.
  • Manage change control processes, assessing and integrating schedule impacts effectively.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project scheduling with Primavera P6.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Advanced MS Excel, and Microsoft Project (essential).
  • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform Apps (advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and project controls.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or Planning (highly regarded).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems with a continuous improvement mindset.
