About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified L2 Project Officer to join a leading defense consultancy. This is a permanent position based onsite at RAAF Williamtown, working with the Air Warfare SPO team. The role involves managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex planning and execution to ensure projects are completed successfully, meeting deadlines, budgets, and requirements.
- Manage all aspects of the project, including scope, schedules, risks, budgets, and resources.
- Support the Capability Manager with project submissions and ensure alignment with the One Defence Capability System.
- Engage with key stakeholders, building strong working relationships to ensure effective project execution.
- Develop, update, and maintain project documentation (e.g., iPMP).
- Provide regular reporting on project progress and performance using management systems (e.g., PPRIP, SPMS).
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities as they arise during the project lifecycle.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to project/product team members.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant project controls guidelines.
- Contribute to achieving project objectives and milestones, ensuring that projects stay within cost, schedule, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- NV1 clearance is mandatory for this role. No applications will be considered without NV1 clearance.
- Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in the defense or aerospace sector.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and complex defense environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage risks, issues, and budgets effectively.
