Remuneration and Benefit Analyst

As a Renumeration Analyst for this large government body you will perform market research, job evaluation using the Hay methodology and develop position benchmark reports to inform remuneration decision making.

Key activities

  • Ensure remuneration management for employees and executives is competitive, fair and equitable and within policy and government guidelines
  • Prepare remuneration data for annual salary submissions
  • Review and enhance remuneration processes and governance to ensure the way remuneration is managed is both accurate and trustworthy
  • Manage the contract renewal process for executives in collaboration with the applicable PC&E Senior Business Partner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective management of remuneration, bringing a solutions focus to all matters
  • Ensure compliance with the public entity executive classification policy/guidelines, and within the organisation’s Remuneration Policy and Remuneration Framework guidelines
  • Undertake gender pay gap analysis and recommend action to ensure pay equity in support of the commitments

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in HR role with a focus on remuneration and rewards administration
  • Experience developing and deploying remuneration strategies that are aligned with the overall organisation strategy
  • Ability to work successfully with stakeholders at all levels to gain alignment on strategy and plans
  • Highly developed numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in HR software and data management systems
  • Knowledge of employment and benefits related law for Australia and state government wide
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Previous experience working within the government sector highly regarded
