We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a high-profile Defence ICT project. This role offers the opportunity to shape risk, issues, and benefits management practices that support strategic delivery outcomes.

About the Role:
As a Risk Manager, you will provide integrated risk, issues, and benefits management services within a major ICT capability project. You will work within the Project Controls Team to support informed decision-making, improve project performance, and drive successful outcomes. The role involves engaging with stakeholders, implementing risk frameworks, and leading benefits realisation practices that align with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement risk and issues management frameworks
- Facilitate risk workshops and maintain detailed registers
- Analyse and prioritise risks based on impact and likelihood
- Coordinate control reviews and ensure compliance with standards
- Lead benefits realisation and support continuous improvement
- Provide benefits-related advice to stakeholders
- Track performance and report on benefits achievement
- Collaborate with benefit owners to ensure clarity and accountability
Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in risk, issues, and benefits management
- Proven ability to work across stakeholder groups and manage expectations
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and treatment strategies
- Familiarity with government PMO environments and reporting
- Ability to implement assurance frameworks and continuous improvement practices
- ISO 31000 certification or equivalent risk management qualification
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, project management, or related field
- Certification in ISO 31000 or other recognised risk management standard
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Work Rights: Australian citizens only
- Security Clearance: Must hold or be able to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance
