
Safety & Wellbeing Manager
The Role
A State Government Agency is seeking a Manager, Safety & Wellbeing (VPS6) to lead the development and implementation of safety and wellbeing strategies. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will drive policy, compliance, and cultural change initiatives to foster a positive and safe workplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety and wellbeing programs, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
- Develop and maintain ISO 45001-certified frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Provide expert HR advice on workplace health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Partner with executives, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and process enhancements in safety and wellbeing.
About You
- Experience in safety and wellbeing leadership, ideally in government or regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and influence senior stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in occupational safety, HR, business, or a related field is desirable.
