Significant career defining leadership opportunity to lead, mentor and coach one of the largest Salesforce technical teams in the country.

This Federal Government Client is seeking a thought-leader in Salesforce Technology combined with servant-Agile people leadership.

You’ll be the driver and owner of the Salesforce Community of Practice, leading a team of upwards of 60-70 Developers (permanent, contract and consulting resources), organised into 6-7 cross-functional MDT’s.

This role will see you driving the Vlocity, Health and Service Cloud and Communities implementation, Mulesoft integration, Salesforce DevOps, declarative low code solutions, engineering standards, and tooling. The goal being to future-proof and drive efficiency, scalability and best practice.

Context

The largest public sector Salesforce implementation in the country, with 6-7 cross-functional squads and growing. Salesforce Industry Solution / Vlocity, Omnistudio, Flexcards, LWC – Service, Health Cloud and Communities, Salesforce DevOps, Mulesoft and REST API’s.

Duties

  • Develop and guide the Development Chapter’s vision, targets, standards and operating rhythm across Salesforce, Vlocity, Communities and Mulesoft platforms.
  • Establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and implement governance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure and compliant solutions for delivery.
  • Work closely with Program Directors, Directors, Solution Train Engineer, Release Train Engineers, SCRUM Masters, Project Managers and Release Managers and interfacing teams.
  • Lead and mentor chapter teams in the respective technologies, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing to enhance skills and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other technical leads to define and refine the technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Oversee the progress of development projects within the chapter, supporting the resolution of blockers and issues, and ensuring timely delivery of the development as planned by Scrum Masters.
  • Regularly update stakeholders in a comprehensive way on Development chapter progress, risks, and achievement.
  • Actively participate in daily scrum activities.
  • Participate in solution design reviews, providing insights and recommendations to ensure the design is robust, scalable, and adaptable.

About YOU!

  • Proven experience as a Senior Leader in Salesforce, managing teams in excess of 50-70+ Developers
  • Hands-on technical Salesforce development and architecture background with a track record of multiple large-scale implementations (17,000 internal users), + million cloud users
  • Demonstrated experience in building team capability, establishing/refining engineering standards
  • Strong DevOps and CI/CD
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Vlocity components, including OmniScript, DataRaptor, and Integration Procedures.
  • Possess high level Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, OmniStudio Developer/Consultant, Salesforce Architect Domain).
