Talent International is searching for an experienced SAP Materials Management Consultant to join our client, a largest Rail Freight Operator . This role is based in Brisbane CBD on a contract basis until June 2025.

Purpose

The SAP Materials Management Consultant under the direction of the Delivery Manager will be required to undertake a functional role in the SAP Materials Management domain, to support a numerous continuous improvements within the MM supply chain domain, The focus is upon design, build & testing ability to collaborate and communicate well with the Business.

Key Accountabilities:

Working under the direction of the project Applications Team Leader the consultant responsibilities will be across the following areas:

  • Work with the business to confirm best use of core SAP Procurement and Materials Management functionality.
  • Configuration and updates to blueprint documents related to rolling out solution.
  • Design, Develop & Test point to point solutions to inbound & outbound from SAP with a focus upon serialisation, bills of material.
  • Experience of the SAP Customer Service module and integration of MM with Plant Maintenance would be beneficial.

Skill Set :

  1. Minimum of 5 to 10 years previous experience in a SAP MM consultant role in a large and complex information technology organisation operating in asset intensive (Rail, Mining, Utilities, Transportation) industries is highly desirable.
  2. Recognised SAP-accredited qualification is highly desirable.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in design, testing and support of the development of functional specifications for RICEF objects.
  • Experience with BAPI, BADI, functional modules, EDI and ALE, IDOC interfaces for purchasing and inventory activities related to supply chain and inventory management between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Configured SAP-MM organisational and location elements, eg. purchasing organisation, plant & storage loc., batches etc
  • Broad experience in configuring material master, vendor master, partner schema, purchase requisition, purchases order, release strategies & workflow.
  • Expertise in designing scenarios including outline agreements, RFQ, source list, info records, quota arrangement, scheduling agreement, reservation, vendor consignment, subcontracting management and vendor evaluation.
  • Customising experience in inventory management, including goods movements, cross company and intra-company stock transport orders using stock transport order (STO), subcontracting, customer and vendor consignment & third party orders, physical inventory, cycle counting.
  • Configuration experience with SAP inventory management.
  • Involved in configuration of MRP including plant parameters, forecast planning, MRP controllers, and lot-sizing procedures, pricing calculation schemas for condition tables, access sequences, condition records and condition types.
  • Rail industry and/or asset intensive (mining, utilities, transportation) experience preferred.
