Security Architect

Our client is a leading national retailer currently seeking a Security Architect to champion a Secure by Design approach across the enterprise.

Your new role will see you working closely with the Head of to review the implementation of security controls and requirements throughout projects. Acting as a primary point of contact for both technology and business stakeholders you will build relationships and help uplift overall cyber posture across the business. Day to day you will execute threat modelling and cyber impact assessments on new projects, drive continuous improvement and guide Project Managers in their delivery to ensure security controls are satisfactory.

Skills and Experience:

• A deep understanding of security reference architecture, threat modelling and risk assessment techniques
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing security controls across the breadth of security capabilities within complex technology environments
• Experience in DevSecOps Transformations, OT Security, Payment Security or AI desirable
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CCM (Cloud Controls Matrix), Essential 8 controls , PCI-DSS, Privacy legislation and OWASP
• Understanding of the Retail industry, challenges, operations, and organisation desirable but not mandatory

Our client is offering a 12 month initial contract with the view to extension. Offices are based near the Melbourne CBD with a requirement to be onsite 3 days per week.
