Our client, a government organisation, is undertaking a significant transformation initiative to replace critical legacy systems with modern, flexible solutions. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency and meet evolving business needs by transitioning to a Microsoft Dataverse solution, supported by the MS Fabric data platform.

As a Senior Data Modeller, you will be responsible for supporting the design and transformation of data from existing systems into the new solution. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including external vendors and business teams, to ensure that data models are effectively documented, aligned with business requirements, and optimised to support the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data modelling support and guidance for VMT projects, overseeing governance and the design of the VMT Dataverse common data layer.
  • Support the functioning of Data Design Forums and collaborate with external vendors, VMT projects, and business stakeholders.
  • Design and develop physical data models focusing on shared data entities, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Lead data design governance for VET Dataverse and VMT One Lake deliverables.
  • Curate a repository of data design diagrams and documents for knowledge transfer to business-as-usual processes.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Dataverse, Azure Pipelines/Fabric, and Power Apps Flows. Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Developer Associate or Azure certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation, consultation, and communication skills for use in complex project environments.
