Senior Freedom of Information Officer
The Role
Our State Government client is seeking a Senior Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer to manage complex and high-profile FOI requests under the FOI Act 1982. You will provide expert advice to senior officials, oversee FOI processes, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements while managing stakeholder relationships and sensitive information. This is a contract role until the end of June 2025, with the possibility of extension
Responsibilities
- Manage complex FOI requests and provide expert advice on legislative compliance.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the FOI process.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the FOI unit.
About You
- Strong knowledge of FOI legislation and experience managing requests in a government setting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Critical thinker with problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for compliance and detail.
