Our client are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a leading global IT consultancy, based in Sydney, on contract role until 05/03/25
About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that solve complex business challenges. You will lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and ensure projects are delivered with quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for complex business problems.
- Lead technical design discussions and architectural decisions for major features.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and uphold high code quality standards.
- Collaborate with product managers to refine requirements and propose innovative technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve technical debt and system bottlenecks.
- Mentor and train junior developers, supporting their professional growth.
- Implement and advocate for development best practices.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Actively participate in retrospectives and suggest process improvements.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining large-scale applications and optimizing performance.
- Background in agile development methodologies.
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Strong experience in test-driven development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and a DevOps culture.
Skills
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#.NET, Java, C++).
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js, Next.js, Angular).
- Proficiency in one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with SQL Server, Postgres, and Redis.
- Strong understanding of tools such as DataDog, LaunchDarkly, and Twilio Segment.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent certification.
