Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Due to growth, our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This role will be based in the Melbourne CBD onsite for an initial 12 month contract with 24 month extension options. Attractive rates on offer!

Position responsibilities:

  • Provide expert best practice technical advice to stakeholders
  • Manage the regular maintenance of patches and support packages for all technical layers
  • Develop plans for backups and disaster recovery, and execute those plans when necessary
  • Provide broad technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities
  • Manage the administration of database solutions, backup and disaster recovery, platform stability, problem management and root cause analysis
  • Assist with developing staff capability through knowledge transfer as the subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues
  • Prepare, update and review a range of team technical standard operating procedure documentation

To apply for this excellent opportunity, you will need the following:

  • Hadoop experience (HDFS, NiFi, Kafka, Ozone etc).
  • RHEL 7/8 experience.
  • Programming languages (python, ansible, bash, Spark).
  • Postgres DB experience, including replication and streaming.
  • Openstack experience.
  • Preparation and deployment of vendor patches.
  • Ability to gain or already hold a Baseline security clearance at minimum
