Our client is a high-profile federal government agency, often at the forefront of the media, responsible for the provision of support and advice to those entrusted with improving the lives of Australians. The agency supports the provision of effective and timely advice, delivery of government priorities, coordination of national and international agendas and collaboration and coordination of intergovernmental and whole-of-government policy.

The Role

Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
Our Federal client requires an experienced Infrastructure Engineer as a technical specialist to work on our shared services portfolio with the Governor Generals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving complex technical incidents and problems within the ICT environment, as well as providing technical advice.
  • The ideal candidates will have experience with both on premises and cloud technology and will work across teams with other technicians in network, storage, platforms, backups or unified communications. Having skills or experience across these areas will be highly advantageous.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to senior management
  • Producing and reviewing project/services delivery documentation including Architecture, Designs, ‘As built documentation’ and Operating Procedures.
  • Configuration and installation of all server hardware, including installation of the operating system and third party products onto the system.
  • Support to cloud operations and Microsoft Office 365 products

Skills & Experience required:

  • Administering and configuring Microsoft Entra and Intune.
  • Administering and configuring Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Microsoft Windows Server configuration and maintenance.
  • Microsoft Exchange Server/Exchange Online configuration and maintenance.
  • Network and Datacentre Infrastructure maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in security and availability
  • A background in architecting and delivering; end user compute, cloud, network and security solutions – Desirable
  • A working knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), the Protective Security Framework Policy (PSFP), and other International Standards (ISO’s) – Desirable
  • Producing and reviewing project/services delivery documentation including Architecture, Designs, ‘As built documentation’ and Operating Procedures – Desirable

It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV1 security clearance.
