Our Tier 1 Financial Services client requires a Senior Manager on a 12 Month initial Day Rate Contract based in Sydney’s CBD. This position will work closely with Business Change and Vendor Governance. The Senior Manager will lead and oversee a diverse range of projects within the business. This is a pivotal role that requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, financial services, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and change control.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates to senior management.
  • Change Management:
    • Drive change initiatives within the business, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption.
    • Assess the impact of changes and develop effective communication plans to inform stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with business teams to identify and address potential challenges and resistance to change.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards.
    • Oversee vendor performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Agile Methodology:
    • Lead and coach teams in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
    • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Essential Experience Required:

  • 5 + Years working within Financial Services.
  • 5 + Years as a Senior Project Manager.
  • 4 + Years experience in change management and risk management at Project Management Level.
  • Experience working within Mortgages or Mortgage projects.
  • Exceptional Vendor management and Governance experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
