Role
Our federal government client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of new office IT network infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Designing and implementing the IT network infrastructure for the Agency’s new Canberra office.
  • Installing and configuring network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitoring and maintaining network performance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network issues and outages.
  • Ensuring network security through firewalls, VPNs, and other protective measures.
  • Keeping network systems up to date with the latest technologies and patches.
  • Documenting and maintaining network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
  • Providing network support to users experiencing network-related issues.
  • Ensuring that network operations comply with industry regulations and standards.

Skills and experience we are seeking:

  • Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure network for office relocation.
  • Demonstrated work experience with IT infrastructure network such as IP network design, troubleshooting, Wi-Fi configuration, fibre and optics, switching and routing.
  • Advanced experience with Cisco Switches.

Desirable: Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology, Cisco certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco certified Network Professional (CCNP).
