Senior Network Engineer - Data Centre / VXLAN

A leading Financial Services provider is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong Data Centre / VXLAN and automation expertise to join their team on an initial twelve month contract.

Joining a stable, collaborative team environment, this role will be responsible for the working on the build and deployment of project initiatives within their large, complex network. Among one of the long-term projects is the pivot towards automating their network using Python, Ansible and Cisco NDFC as their orchestration tool – any experience with any of these tools is highly desirable.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant vendor certifications (CCIE etc.)
  • Demonstrated network engineering experience gained within large, complex environments
  • Advanced knowledge and experience designing, engineering and troubleshooting in large datacentre and campus networks (i.e. VXLAN, EVPN)
  • Strong knowledge and experience supporting, maintaining and configuring Cisco Nexus switches
  • Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently as required

This is a Sydney-based role which will require tyou to be in the office at least two days per week.
