Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves implementing, managing, and retiring various infrastructures, including physical, virtual, networking, and cloud-based systems that support digital services. The successful candidate will work under the broad guidance of a National Manager to deliver quality outcomes, demonstrating a high level of independence and decision-making skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, evaluate, and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future demands.
- Provide expert technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities.
- Prepare, review, and maintain documentation, including design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies, operational policies, procedures, and change initiatives.
- Participate in change management processes and communicate configuration changes’ implications.
- Offer detailed, specialist technical advice and strategic advice to senior executives.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proficiency in F5, Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Experience with Infoblox/BlueCat DNS/DHCP Services, Cisco Email Security Solution, and Cisco Secure Client or VPN solution.
- IT infrastructure: Level 3 (SFIA) – provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure services and components.
- Programming/software development: Level 2 (SFIA) – design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor simple programs/scripts.
- Systems installation and removal: Level 3 (SFIA) – install or remove hardware/software, test installations, and document results.
