
Senior PMO Coordinator
As the Portfolio/PMO Coordinator for this high-profile University you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by supporting the Director, Senior Managers, and wider PMO team.
Your expertise in project management frameworks, reporting, governance, and risk management will be instrumental in driving efficiency and excellence across the portfolio.
Key activities
- Deliver strategic analysis and insights on project data to executive groups and portfolio managers.
- Lead and develop continuous improvement programs for PMO processes, aligning with industry best practices and audit requirements.
- Oversee risk and issue management, ensuring effective reporting and mitigation strategies.
- Manage change requests, assessing their impact across the portfolio.
- Provide expert guidance on schedule and dependency management, assisting project teams in meeting their objectives.
- Develop and maintain portfolio reports, offering valuable insights for governance and delivery improvements.
- Drive alignment and consistency in PMO processes, tools, and frameworks across all projects.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a PMO/ Program, or Portfolio Coordinator in a large, complex technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies, PMO controls, and governance frameworks.
- Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to continuous improvement.
- Certification in Prince2 or PMI (preferred but not essential).
