Senior Project Manager HCM/Payroll (SAP SuccessFactors)

We are currently looking for a Sr Project Manager to join a large state government department on their Human Capital Management Solution (HCMS) Program has been established to replace a current suite of ageing HR systems with SAP SuccessFactors. This is a 12 month contract based in Brisbane CBD.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the foundational planning and implementation stages of the new HR & Payroll solution, including data migration, leading the governance activities to meet the timelines and success criteria identified for project delivery.

Key tasks / responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of project management tools, including Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated achievement in the end-to-end application of PRINCE2 methodology and delivery of successful ICT projects from Initiation to Closing in large, complex organisations (preferably public sector).
  • Highly developed project management and multifunctional team leadership skills as demonstrated by achieving project objectives and contributing to enhanced organisational performance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the application of change management processes to limit the impact of change on individuals and work groups within large, hierarchical, client-focused organisations.
  • High level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills as demonstrated by a record of achievement in solving complex problems.
  • Expertise in preparation and presentation of project communications utilising highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated through achievements in effectively liaising, consulting and negotiating with stakeholder groups, vendors and all levels of public officials and Department executives.
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Information technology or Bachelor of Business/Human Resources.

Mandatory Experience

  • Proven experience in the delivery of successful HCM implementations, including payroll migrations, within large and complex organisations.
  • Extensive experience with SAP Success Factors Modules: Including Employee Central, Performance & Goals, Core HR, Resourcing, Learning Management and Compensation or other HRIS systems.
  • Professional Experience – Minimum of 10 years of project management experience with at least 5 years in SAP / Success Factors implementations or similar HRIS systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
