Working as a Program Scheduler for this large government body you will be responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of the integrated master schedule across the key programs within the Enterprise Technology division.
Your brand-new role will see you ensure effective dependency, milestone and resource management to drive on-time, within-budget delivery.

Key activities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive schedules that integrate all program timelines, milestones and dependencies.
  • Manage assigned schedules, including data integrity, schedule quality, progress updates and forecasting data for activities and associated deliverables.
  • Liaise with Program Managers and project delivery teams on development and amendments to integrated schedule, participating in planning meetings as required.
  • Continually build relationships with program manager, delivery team members technical leads and vendors both within the program and across Enterprise Technology.
  • Deliver accurate and timely schedule status reports and dashboards to Program Manager and relevant stakeholders through regular review, monitoring and analysis of schedule data, to enable informed decision making.
  • Identify and implement improvements in scheduling practices and tools, ensuring that the integrated schedule remains robust, agile, and aligned with evolving program needs.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in project/program scheduling, preferably in IT or business change environments.
  • Expertise in PMBOK, Prince2, or similar methodologies, with strong proficiency in MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools.
  • Strong grasp of estimating, planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage dependencies, resource constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or Prince2 (highly desirable).
