Our client is a statutory agency tasked with the significant responsibility of protecting Australia’s national interests from foreign threats. As well as collecting and analysing foreign intelligence, our client provides information security services to the Australian Government.

The role
The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for ensuring delivery of IT systems services, to meet sourcing requirements to achieve service levels. Additional duties include asset management to ensure the proper accountability of hardware and software assets, including warranties, licenses and engagement and negotiation of related contractual arrangements

This role requires the occupant to possess an excellent understanding of Commonwealth procurement processes, a general understanding of End User License Agreements and warranties and ability to negotiate changes.
This role supports the delivery of contracted ICT hardware, software and services by monitoring and managing the contracted service levels, ensuring quality and value for money in the deliverables across multiple initiatives.

Roles and responsibilities of the Service Delivery Manager

  • Ensure service delivery aligns with agreed Service Levels by creating a service catalog, diagnosing and managing IT-related service issues, and maintaining operational procedures for the clients systems.
  • Conduct sourcing activities by researching suppliers and market trends, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the commercial landscape to inform and shape sourcing strategies and plans. Lead procurement teams through the tendering, evaluation, and acquisition processes, including drafting and finalizing contracts.
  • Oversee hardware and software asset management, including acquisition, warranty handling, and collaboration with project teams to manage the IT assets. Ensure proper administration of asset acquisition, storage, distribution, movement, and disposal. Develop and analyze asset registers for software, documentation, data, licenses, and agreements, ensuring compliance with supply, warranty, and maintenance requirements, while verifying asset accuracy.
