This leading Australian financial institution is on the lookout for a dynamic Vendor Management Lead to drive operational contract management for Digital Employee Experience (DEX) vendors.

This isn’t just about managing vendors-it’s about forging strategic partnerships, delivering operational excellence, and playing a key role in transforming how a major financial institution empowers its people.

Key activities

  • Drive the future of vendor partnerships by supporting the Payroll Vendor Rationalisation program and broader vendor management strategies.
  • Be the trusted advisor on all things vendor and contract management-ensuring compliance, performance, and alignment with stakeholder needs.
  • Lead governance and engagement-facilitating key vendor meetings, tracking actions, managing invoices via Ariba, and updating reporting packs with clarity and precision.
  • Ensure vendor performance through regular reviews of SLAs, contract health, and operational metrics.
  • Support the full vendor lifecycle including sourcing, contract variations, and change management initiatives.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar vendor management or contract operations role within a large, complex enterprise.
  • Excellent project management and planning abilities to lead initiatives from end to end.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify systemic issues and craft scalable solutions.
  • Sharp critical thinking and communication skills-comfortable engaging across all levels and presenting with impact.
  • Agile mindset with a focus on outcomes and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Solid understanding of the procurement lifecycle and vendor governance best practices (experience with Ariba is a bonus!).
