Software Asset Management Specialist

As a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for capturing, managing, and optimising data within the SNOW Atlas system, working across a project to help uplift SAM capability across the enterprise. This position will suit a detail-oriented individual who demonstrates a background in Software Asset Management (SAM), with extensive experience in SNOW and SNOW Atlas.

Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Utilise SNOW Atlas for accurate management and tracking of software assets.
  • Optimize data within SNOW Atlas for accuracy and enrichment.
  • Generate and analyse reports on software usage and compliance.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of software assets to ensure licensing compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of all software contracts.
  • Keep an up-to-date inventory of software licenses and installations.
  • Provide training and support on SAM best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and procurement teams for alignment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Spot opportunities for cost savings and optimize software usage.
  • Ensure compliance and prepare for audits with accurate documentations.

We are seeking professionals with the following Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) services and standards, including data optimization, and application of Licensing rules.
  • Proficiency with SNOW/SNOW Atlas and SAM lifecycle processes and software management tool sets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in building Effective Licensing Positions and Audit Defence.
  • Any experience with Microsoft Licensing would also be beneficial.

Work in new high-rise CBD based offices where hybrid WFH flexibility is fully supported.
