Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Solution Architect to join this well-known organisation.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in IT and architecture design, particularly within the utilities sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative technology solutions across complex utility systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of solution architectures across business and functional areas, with a preference for asset and distribution domains.
• Design and review architecture for major utilities applications and platforms such as GIS, Maximo, Microsoft Azure, MuleSoft, and Oracle.
• Develop technical plans, identify required tools and resources, and ensure their effective application in project delivery.
• Provide technical governance and guidance throughout solution development and system integration processes.
• Assess and recommend actions on change requests and specification deviations.
• Apply and enforce technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices, with a focus on cybersecurity and cost management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect
• Proven experience working with enterprise utilities applications and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture within complex systems integration projects.
• Experience providing technical leadership, including governance and oversight during solution development.
• Knowledge of cyber security, cost management, and industry best practices in architecture design.
• Background in the Utilities sector, especially Asset and Distribution domains.
• Experience with technical planning, architecture frameworks, and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
