Solution Designer

Our client is a government organisation in the inner southeastern suburbs. Due to a paternity leave cover they have a great opportunity for a Solution Designer with CiA experience to join their team.

• 6 months contract starting end of March or sooner
• $88 plus super per hour
• Hybrid WFH (2 – 3 days in the office)
• 7.5-hour day

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for solution designs targeting precise business problems ensuring these align with the Council Plan, ICT strategic plan and enterprise architecture.
• Influence and guide technology and business stakeholders on decisions that best serve the enterprise whilst meeting project/solution objectives to achieve business outcomes.
• Oversee the evaluation and selection of ICT solutions (licensed, subscriptions and services).
• Develop and ensure delivery of decommissioning plans for existing applications, data, devices and infrastructure.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need:

• Experience with TechnologyOne – OneCountil CiA software experience is essential
• Understanding of solution and enterprise architecture with diverse experience in how to apply this to solution design to ensure solutions address business needs and integrate at a broader enterprise level.
• High level of self-discipline and autonomy to manage own time, set priorities and expectations.
• Ability to work collaboratively, analytically and creatively in a problem-solving environment.
• Experience working towards solutions that enable transition from on premise to cloud service providers.
• If you come from a Senior Systems Administration background using CiA at a Council, and with some design experience you will be considered for this role.
