Our client is a Melbourne base university who are looking for an urban planner to support strategic campus development and space planning. This is an associate director position where you will be taking the lead in optimizing the university’s estate and planning the future of the campus.

Key responsibilities,

  • Develop and implement strategies, frameworks, and procedures to improve the delivery of space management.
  • Develop a data-driven investment strategy for the physical estate.
  • Align space planning actives to overall estate strategy and investment initiatives.
  • Build and maintain key stakeholders and consultant relationships.
  • Manage the collation, analysis and presentation of key space data contributing to strategic decisions.
  • Proactively engage with sector peer networks, identifying best practice from other institutions or relevant organisations.
  • Accountable for the maintenance and accuracy of property and space data in space management system.

Key requirements,

  • Degree or professional institute qualifications in Architecture, Uban Planning, Design, or similar discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex estate and property data and accurately present space management outcomes and recommendations.
