Talent is recruiting for a Strategy & Planning Analyst to join our State Government client based in Brisbane CBD on a contract until 30 June 2025.

// Negotiable Daily Rate
// Contract till June 2024 + possible extensions
// Brisbane CBD location + hybrid working arrangements

Responsibilities

  • Review relevant whole-of-government strategy, policy, performance actions and planning documents to map strategic actions owned by the organisation.
  • Develop a tool (MSExcel or other) to map these strategic actions against the draft strategic plan, business plan and divisional plans.
  • Use the tool to conduct analysis on enterprise plans, identifying any deficits or gaps in delivery.
  • Support development of business and divisional plans, including alignment of activities to business capability mapping and risk mapping.
  • Provide high level expert advice and recommendations to the Director, Enterprise Strategy Group and the Manager, Enterprise Strategy group on a diverse and complex range of issues relevant to implementation of an integrated policy and planning framework.
  • Support the development of the policy and planning framework through mapping current and future state relationships and interdependencies between strategies, plans, policies, procedures and frameworks.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Proven experience within a large and complex public sector organisation.
  • Understanding of enterprise planning within Government
  • Creative thinking & problem solving
  • Proven ability to work independently, under broad direction and against established priorities, practices and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes.
