
Superintendent - Control Systems
Our well-known mining client in Perth WA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Superintendent – Control Systems to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a FIFO role offering a competitive salary and bonus package and the opportunity to work with a leading-edge team on major operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing port and rail control systems operations and will play a pivotal role in managing change, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of control systems across key projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operation and maintenance of port and rail control systems in a safe manner.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure optimal functionality of control systems, including SCADA applications and software.
- Manage and implement solutions to reduce risk and downtime, eliminating defects.
- Provide leadership and guidance to teams, ensuring a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the engineering process and the broader operational context of the mining site.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to address issues.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven leadership experience at a Superintendent level, with a strong ability to manage teams and operations in a complex mining environment- ideally with some FIFO experience.
- Deep knowledge of control systems, electrical engineering, SCADA applications and/or associated software.
- Strong understanding of IT/O, engineering processes and operational context within the mining sector.
- Exceptional ability to manage change, identify process improvements, and drive safety initiatives.
- Solutions focused with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
