Our client
Our client is a statutory agency tasked with the significant responsibility of protecting Australia’s national interests from foreign threats. As well as collecting and analysing foreign intelligence, our client provides information security services to the Australian Government.
The Role
Our client is seeking multiple System Administrator to provide detailed systems administration, technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Accountable to perform routine installations and de-installation of items of hardware and software according to the Australian Signals Directorate and organisation policy and procedures.
- Provide advice and specialist guidance to colleagues to ensure best use is made of available assets and to maintain or improve the installation service.
- Work collaboratively with the team and contribute to solutions and goals of a non-routine or contingency nature.
- Design and implement solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
- Solve issues for a defined range of unpredictable problems following established operating policies and procedures.
- Accountable for installation projects, providing effective team leadership and ensuring the information flow to and from the stakeholder during project work.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
Skills and Experience
- Holds a Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficient in operating systems, networking, database management, and security protocols.
- Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining network systems.
- Proficient in programming languages.
