Salary: $660 per day (including Super)
Clearance: Eligible for NV1 clearance or hold Baseline clearance
Location: Australia (Must have lived in Australia for the past 5 years)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator for a 12-month contract position. This role will involve maintaining and supporting a range of IT systems, including Windows Server and RHEL environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with hands-on experience in server administration, VMware management, and AWS components. You will play a key role in troubleshooting system issues, ensuring system stability, and providing technical support for critical infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Server and RHEL operating systems.
- Perform OS patch management to ensure security and stability of Windows Server and RHEL environments.
- Provide technical support to diagnose and resolve issues such as OS hang, performance issues, network connectivity problems, access issues, and more.
- Configure and manage user permissions and access controls across Windows Server and RHEL systems.
- Manage VMware environments, including creating VMs, configuring network interfaces, assigning metadata and tags, modifying disks, and migrating VMs across ESXi hosts.
- Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure smooth operation.
- Develop and manage incident and problem management processes, ensuring rapid resolution of IT issues. Represent the team for escalated P1 and P2 incidents.
- Use SCCM and MECM for systems management tasks.
- Provide on-call support and work in a shift-based mode to ensure continuous system operation.
Key Skill Requirements:
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server and RHEL operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with OS patch management to ensure security and stability across systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot a variety of IT issues, including performance, network connectivity, and access issues.
- Experience in configuring and managing user permissions and access controls across Windows and RHEL systems.
- Strong familiarity with VMware technologies and vRA automation, including tasks such as VM creation, NIC management, disk modification, and VM migration.
- Bonus: Experience with AWS EC2, AWS databases, S3 buckets, and other AWS services.
- Certifications in relevant technologies such as ITIL, AWS, VMware, MCITP, RHEL, or similar.
- Ability to monitor IT systems to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
- Experience with incident and problem management processes, particularly in handling P1 and P2 escalations.
- Working knowledge of SCCM and MECM.
- Willingness and ability to work in a shift-based model and provide on-call support.

- Australian Citizenship is required.
- Must either hold Baseline clearance or be eligible for NV1 clearance.
