Technical Cloud Specialist required for an initial 3 month contract with extension options role based in Perth.

Position responsibilities-

  • Being a technical resource to deliver cyber security and operational projects related to Microsoft Azure cloud-hosted systems and network infrastructure services.
  • Provide technical planning, design and implementation services.
  • Proof of concept, development testing of potential solutions.
  • Can adapt to evolving changes in technology or customer requirements which may require re-iterative changes or deviations in time and scope.
  • Deliver and support the creation of technical documentation, for instance, technical architecture, configuration, dependency mapping and others;
  • Effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders and work cohesively with a diverse array of teams; and

Required skills and experience-

At least three years of working experience in Microsoft Azure cloud and networking infrastructure. This would include proven technical hands-on experience in undertaking cloud and infrastructure project, operational or support services with the following technologies:

  • MS Azure cloud technologies (IaaS and PaaS).
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems (essential), and RedHat/Oracle Linux (desirable).
  • Microsoft Core Infrastructure (AD, GPO, ADFS, DNS, DHCP etc).
  • Next-generation firewalls and web application firewalls, e.g. Palo Alto and/or Fortinet.
  • Networking technologies, e.g. network access control, proxy, load balancing, SD-WAN, VPN.
  • PowerShell and various cloud scripting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cyber security solutions and OT technologies is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ASD Strategies to Mitigate Cyber Incidents and ISM is desirable.
  • Formal Microsoft technical cloud certification is desirable.

The personnel should also have the skills, knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to assist, advise and provide guidance to a range of stakeholders regarding ICT technical and/or cyber security matters.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with considerable experience within a customer service delivery environment.
