Position Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in the successful execution of a digital project. As the “ideal” ideal candidate, you will possess a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise, enabling them to bridge the gap between stakeholders, business requirements, and technical solutions. This role will involve working on front-end mobile and web applications, collaborating closely with integration and solution architects, tech leads, and three agile delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for digital projects, focusing on front-end mobile and web applications.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment with project objectives and constraints.
  • Work closely with integration and solution architects, tech leads, and agile delivery teams to ensure the seamless integration of front-end solutions with back-end systems and third-party services.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, processes, and data structures to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other agile ceremonies to prioritize and refine user stories based on business value and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for mobile and web applications.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment of project goals and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis, digital project management, and front-end development.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project timelines or deliverables, and work with the project team to mitigate them effectively.
  • Utilize the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for documentation purposes.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, creating user stories, and developing technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with mobile app development platforms and tools (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus but not required
  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) is a plus but not required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks effectively, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
