Technical Project Manager
Our client is a leading Banking organisation seeking a Technical Project Manager on an initial 12 month contract. This role is based in Sydney, NSW and requires mandatory three days in office, (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing two squads to assist in a large scale Digital Transformation Project. This project will focus on the implementation of new software and platform roll out.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the project vision and strategy, aligning with broader business objectives.
- Agile Delivery: Lead agile teams, oversee sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Technical Proficiency: Collaborate with teams to ensure technical feasibility, performance, and scalability.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, business analysts, and development teams.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets of up to $10-20 million, optimising resource allocation and ensuring financial accountability.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the project stays on track and within budget.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data analytics to inform product decisions and measure success.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience with/ in:
- 5 + Years as a Technical Project Manager
- 5 + Years within Financial Services (preferably a Big 4 Bank).
- Proven cost estimation experience.
- 5 + Years with large scale Digital Transformation projects.
- Experience managing project budgets of 10-20 million.
- Lending experience would be beneficial.
