About the role
Our client within Federal government is seeking for Test Engineer APS5/ APS6.
APS5 – Test Engineers ensure that their test effort is effectively executed and that allocated activities are completed in a structured, consistent manner in accordance with agreed test guidelines. Test Engineers use their in-depth knowledge to provide technical advice and development to less experienced testers. Test Engineers work under the general direction and support of senior staff. They exercise a degree of independent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that require reliance on skills and knowledge. They plan their own work and contribute to teamwork goals in the context of competing priorities, and changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies.
APS6 – Senior Test Engineers ensure that ICT solutions improve quality, performance, architectural and functional requirements and are fit for business purpose. Senior Test Engineers ensure that all test effort activities are effectively completed and carried out in accordance with agreed test guidelines. Senior Test Engineers work under the limited direction of senior staff. They exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. Decision making is dependent on judgement, skills and knowledge. Senior Test Engineers manage and organise their own work in the context of competing priorities, including contributing to business
