The opportunity
Our client is a government organisation in the south eastern suburbs. They have a great opportunity for a Training Implementation Officer for a TechnologyOne / OneCouncil implementation project.

  • 3 months initial contract starting ASAP, potential for extensions
  • Hourly rate of $59.58 plus super
  • Hybrid work from home, minimum 2 days per week onsite

The role
As the One Council Training Implementation Officer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive training program to support the OneCouncil initiative. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a comprehensive training approach for the OneCouncil program, ensuring it aligns with the desired program outcomes and meets the training need of all stakeholders
  • Use the ADDIE model framework to plan, design, deliver and review the training program
  • Ensure training content is relevant, engaging, and incorporates best practices in adult learning and organisational development to maximise knowledge retention and learning satisfaction
  • Regularly review and update training materials to reflect organisational changes and evolving best practices
  • Work closely with relevant Project teams and subject matter experts to conduct training needs assessments to identify learning gaps and develop training solutions to meet specific needs and learning styles
  • Align training implementation approach with our current organisation practices in learning and change management
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and leaders seeking information or support regarding the OneCouncil training program
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and courses for staff at various levels across the organisation
  • Utilise a range of training delivery methods, including e-learning, Instructor-led training (classroom & virtual), and blended learning, to maximise engagement and knowledge retention
  • Design and lead Train the Trainer training sessions to selected subject matter experts to enable them to train other staff
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of One Council training programs through feedback, assessments and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Work closely with the program change management team to ensure training initiatives support overall change management efforts and contribute to a smooth transition to One Council
  • Develop and implement feedback mechanisms to measure training effectiveness and participant satisfaction
  • Ensure all training documentation complies with the organisation’s standards and is readily accessible for audit and reference

About you
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment or a similar professional qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and successful implementation of training programs for an IT Transformation Program, such as ERP or CRM implementation
  • Experience with OneCouncil or TechOne will be highly regarded
  • Experience in change management within a government or public sector environment
  • Knowledge and experience in developing plans based on recommendations and requirements, providing necessary guidance to the project
  • Expertise in training delivery (e.g., Train the Trainer, hybrid models) and evaluation for successful outcomes
  • Experience in analysing data from multiple sources to conduct training needs analysis and make recommendations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong and engaging facilitation skills in presenting and delivering coaching and training to large groups
  • Available to start at relatively short notice – aiming for a December start
