Venues & Events Officer – NSW Government – Camperdown
Talent International is seeking a Venues & Events Officer to join a reputable NSW Government client based in Camperdown. This is an exciting 12-month contract role with the potential for extension, offering a competitive hourly rate of $59.21 + Super.
Position Details:
- Start Date: Immediate
- Working Hours: 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week
- Location: Camperdown
Key Responsibilities
Venue Management:
- Process simple and complex booking requests for internal and external clients.
- Assess event applications, ensuring suitability, risk management, and necessary support services.
- Coordinate the preparation of teaching and learning spaces to meet client requirements.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Act as the primary liaison for space bookings, providing accurate and timely advice.
- Manage in-person, phone, and email inquiries with professionalism and a customer-focused approach.
- Proactively address client concerns, escalate recurrent issues, and encourage feedback for continuous improvement.
Financial Management:
- Handle client invoices, journal transfers, and fee waiver requests.
- Manage repairs and maintenance requests, providing updates to clients on progress.
Data Collection & Reporting:
- Maintain data accuracy, document processes, and produce detailed periodic reports.
- Create user guides to streamline team processes and ensure compliance.
About You:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong administrative and systems experience, ideally within events, banking, or sales (BDM).
- Excellent customer service and client engagement skills.
- Ability to manage corporate events, workshops, conferences, and single-day events.
- Technical proficiency, with experience using ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience.
- Background in event coordination or related industries.
Additional Information:
- Most events occur during standard business hours, with rare requirements for work outside these hours.
