This Federal government department is currently on the lookout for an V&V Engineer to oversee the test process for all test-related activities within the mission-critical program and be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of test processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze and troubleshoot network problems within an operations center utilizing network management and monitoring tools.
  • Monitor the alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and minimize disruption and impact to the network.
  • Utilize test methods to analyze/troubleshoot Ethernet; IP; Frame Relay; E1; WAN; LAN.
  • Expertise in remote maintenance and repair of the following network equipment is preferred: Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Moxa.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Verification & Validation background (System/Network Integration/Verification Testing)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Networking, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on large electronic system deployments.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment, with stringent Safety and Security requirements.
  • Experience in automated testing and SONET infrastructure.
