Windows Engineer

One of our clients is looking to hire Windows Engineer, mainly dealing with internal business units and provide infrastructure services to the team and ensure the systems are available 24/7.

• Flexible work from home option: 4 days WFH and 1 day in Office
• Based in Adelaide

About the Role:

• Installation, administration and optimization of client’s and customer’s managed Windows infrastructure
• Ensuring the availability of the infrastructure for the systems and applications used by the customers, 24×7 support and problem resolution and continuous system health monitoring
• Ensuring the physical security, integrity and safety of these Infrastructure components
• Physical and virtual server builds and configuration changes and physical installation of Windows servers in the Data Centres
• Capacity and performance monitoring and planning and tuning of the infrastructure
• Forward planning for the release of new versions of products in the Windows space
• Testing and implementation of replacement Windows and Virtualisation technology versions and vendor supplied patches.

Skills Required:

• 3-5 years’ Experience in the implementation and administration of large scale Windows Server environments using a range of Microsoft Technologies
• Experience in the implementation and administration of complex virtualized server environments, in particular VMWare.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in the administration of Active Directory environments
• Working with a team to achieve the end goals of consistent, efficient and effective work delivery within agreed time lines
• Experience in liaising with a range of customers at different levels
• Achievement of quality results within the time lines allocated
• Experience with Remedy or other similar work request system application
