With multiple locations across Canberra, and nationwide, the organisation seeks only the most skilled and professional individuals to assist them in developing programs, policies and initiatives that will improve the quality of life for vulnerable Australians.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to be the technical lead for their data warehouse platform, providing technical guidance to develops and oversight of data designs and data models, as well as though leadership across data architecture, modelling, design, and integration.
The Data Architect will:
- Provide technical leadership to delivery teams
- Review and refine data delivery frameworks to enhance integration
- Set peer review and data modelling release standards
- Provide knowledge transfer for data best practices
- Own technical implementation of new data from analysis to delivery
- Provide guidance on conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Skills and Experience
- Extensive data architecture skills and experience, particularly within an AWS environment
- Strong technical leadership experience for delivery of cloud data lake and data warehouse platforms
- Highly competent in data modelling
- Experience working with DevOps processes and tools
- Knowledge of version controls and appropriate use
The following skills and experience are desirable:
- Strong expertise in SQL, including reverse-engineering end user SQL code
- Ability to read and interpret data models and specifications
- Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistical or computer science disciplines or extensive relevant work experience
- Experience working in an Agile environment
It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.
