About the Role
The Program Management Officer will manage Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs and grants that support quality, sustainable, resilient infrastructure across the Indo-Pacific. The program management officer will ensure programs align with and contribute to implementation of the department’s infrastructure policy (currently under development) and Australia’s engagement with like-minded partners on infrastructure. The program management officer will be responsible for meeting the department’s ODA programming guide requirements. They will lead risk, performance and quality reporting and coordination for the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage programs and grants that support quality, sustainable, resilient infrastructure across the Indo-Pacific. This may include infrastructure quality, media development and digital connectivity programs.
  • Managing grant contributions to the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure’s Infrastructure for Resilient Island States Initiative (CDRI IRIS), Pacific Regional Infrastructure Facility (PRIF) and Blue Dot Network (BDN)

  • Leading performance and quality reporting requirements for the branch, and coordinating risk management processes
  • Working closely with the Infrastructure Fellowships and Engagement Program manager and other IFB staff to effectively support the department’s international engagement on infrastructure.
  • Engaging directly with internal and external stakeholders to support the department’s global engagement on infrastructure, especially with other members of CDRI, PRIF and BDN.
