The role:
The primary purpose of the Change Lead is to undertake the change management, training and communication activities needed to support business readiness for the successful implementation of the Timetabling and Room Booking Software solution.

Key Activities:

  • Applying the agreed change management approach/methodology to project change and communications activities.
  • Providing change management advice to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of project deliverables and outcomes.
  • Evaluating the level of change/user readiness and undertaking appropriate actions to enable satisfactory business readiness for each Go Live, followed by post Go Live support for impacted staff.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders, including those most impacted by the change activity.
  • Identifying areas of anticipated stakeholder resistance; designing then executing appropriate change management approaches and activities with other project team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

A degree (preferably in Information Technology, Law, Commerce or Business) with subsequent relevant experience working in or supporting a large IT department; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in ICT Procurement for large organisations; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Skills:

  • A solid understanding of people and process issues when implementing information technology change across an organisation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and preparing change communications, including the development of key messages and effective dissemination to diverse audiences using a variety of communication channels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivery of outcomes, and a self-motivated, positive and enthusiastic approach to achieving goals through effective team and individual work.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence resistant or change-adverse stakeholders and groups

Experience:

  • Experience and a demonstrated ability in managing change within a large and/or complex organisational context.
  • Previous change management experience within a tertiary and/or research institution would be highly valued.
  • Experience in consulting, partnering with and coaching senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver change outcomes.

Key deliverables:

  • Verifying the current change impact assessment and refining relevant change management plans and activities.
  • Identifying, analysing, preparing and executing risk mitigation activities together with other project team members and stakeholders.
    Assisting with the development and delivery of training materials and sessions as appropriate to the change activity.
  • Developing implementation support and handover tools to ensure reinforcement and sustainability of the change, including benefit realisation planning and post implementation review

We are excited to be working with a major Queensland state government department seeking an Infrastructure Deployment Officer.

This role will be part of a contractor BAU team (1 x Depolyment Officer, 1 x Automation Test and 1 x Scrum Master) facilitating delivery of priority ICT initiatives for agency.

The Software Development Group (SDG) is responsible for the maintenance of the majority of bespoke software systems within the organisational portfolio. SDG support a wide variety of integration systems and web applications for each of our partner agencies.

Scope of Position

The key deliverables of this initiative include:

  • Replacement of aging physical servers hosting Virtual Machines (eg ‘ESX hosts’).
  • Replacement of physical critical servers such as the (CCM) servers located at the major comms center.
  • Operating System upgrade of all servers from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019 (where possible) or alternatively Windows Server 2016.
  • Upgrade of the Oracle database management system from the current version 11gR2 to a new version such as 19c.
  • Replacement of the current physical Oracle servers with new physical servers or migration to virtual servers hosted on new physical infrastructure.

Key accountabilities & skills set

  • Deploy and configure software application changes for supported computer systems and investigate, analyse and resolve system issues that occur in lower and production environments when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying suitable candidates for specific positions by undertaking various search processes.
  • Engaging and determining candidate suitability for potential positions by utilising multiple methods of qualification including face to face behavioural interviewing, technical testing and psychometric analysis.
  • Provide consultative advice and direction to candidates regarding their best career pathways.
  • Designing and creating promotional material including job advertisements that will ensure we attract the best possible candidates on behalf of our clients.
  • Become a trusted advisor to candidates and clients who rely on your opinions and insights in relation to the employment market.
