Principal Developer - Salesforce

Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking an EL2 Principal Developer to join their team in their Richmond or Geelong office. This will be a 12-month initial contract with further 12-month extensions, 37.5 hour week, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Duties

  • Develop and guide the Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) Development Chapter’s targets and standards across Salesforce, Vlocity, and Mulesoft platforms ensuring alignment with best practices and SDP’s principles and objectives.
  • Establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and implement governance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure and compliant solutions for PACE delivery.
  • Work closely with SDP Program Directors, SDP Directors, Solution Train Engineer, Release Train Engineers, Project Managers and Release Managers.
  • Lead and mentor chapter teams in the respective technologies, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing to enhance skills and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other technical leads to define and refine the technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Oversee the progress of development projects within the chapter, supporting the resolution of blockers and issues, and ensuring timely delivery of the development as planned by Scrum Masters.
  • Ensure seamless integration across Salesforce, MuleSoft, Vlocity and the client systems.

Essential criteria
1. Proven experience as a software developer with a track record of leading development teams and delivering complex projects; experience in building team capability, establishing/refining and influencing processes/practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong expertise in Salesforce Vlocity components, including OmniScript, DataRaptor, and Integration Procedures.
3. Proficient in Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
