The Client & Role:
We are currently working with an Australian financial services organisation who are looking for a qualified and experienced Travel Advisor to provide and outstanding level of travel advice and booking support to all stakeholders.
This role will be responsible for booking domestic and international flights, accommodation, ground transportation, and ensuring all bookings are made according to the travel policy, compliant with domestic and international requirements, and within acceptable service delivery turnaround times.

Responsibilities:
* Create an environment of, and commitment to, service excellence within the business function by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations, and continually improving the travel experience for all travellers.
* Create a travel experience that enables the traveller to focus solely on the business purpose of their trip.
* Provide afterhours ‘on-call’ support to travellers and bookers and facilitate all booking/amendment/cancellation requests.
* Provide flight quotations that meet travel policy requirements, yet best meet the needs of the traveller’s business priorities.
* Creation and management of domestic and international flight reservations via the appointed online booking tool.
* Creation and management of international hotel reservations in accordance with the booking processes.
* Ensure instructions for travellers relating to travel documentation and border requirements are clearly and professionally communicated to travellers at the earliest opportunity.
* Participate in, or lead, mandatory pre-departure briefings and post travel debriefs with travellers and relevant stakeholders.
* Support stakeholders with information requested to complete workflow tasks and manage the end-to-end workflow process.
* Do all possible to mix with all stakeholders, both virtually and in person when working from the office.
* Record all booking actions in the relevant file records for all reservations to create reliable historical audit trails.

Required Skills & Specialisms:
* Minimum 10 years travel industry experience, preferably within corporate travel, or a mix of retail & corporate experience.
* GDS qualification, Galileo is preferred but Sabre or Amadeus experience will be considered with Galileo conversion training. (GDS hotels & cars qualification, highly advantagrous)
* Experience with and understanding of IATA fares & ticketing is a distinct advantage.
* A diploma, advanced certificate, or certificate IV in travel & tourism, or equivalent travel industry work experience.
* Operational experience using a GDS to make reservations, monitor and action queues, interpret fare rules from a display, and maintain booking file notes at all times.
* Experience in advisory or consultative roles, including providing travel advice across domestic and international destinations and products.
* Experience with using an online booking tool, or at minimum, understand the process and limitations of the OBT and how to manage a booking in this way.
* Experience with passport, visa, and eVisa requirements.
* Working closely with key functions (e.g., Executive Assistants, executive-level staff) across the organisation.
* Working in a busy travel environment where attention to detail is critical when working to tight and expiring deadlines.
* Experience in a business procurement environment would also be highly advantageous.

About the Role
The Course Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management and coordination of academic courses offers by the Diplomatic Academy, ensuring their effective planning, execution, and evaluation. This position plays a key role in facilitating communication between various facilities of the Diplomatic Academy, students and administrative counterparts to ensure course delivery.

The Course Coordinator will manage course schedules, handle student inquiries, assist facilitators, and ensure compliance with institutional and academic policies of the entity. This position may include other administrative duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Course Coordination (75%)
    • Course Planning and Scheduling: Manage course schedules, ensuring alignment with academic calendars and Diplomatic Academy guidelines.
    • Facilitator Support: Act as the primary point of contact for faculty managers and facilitators, providing administrative support, ensuring course materials are prepared, and assisting with classroom and online setup.
    • Student Engagement: Respond to student inquiries, provide guidance on course-related issues, and facilitate communications between students and the Diplomatic Academy.
    • Course Evaluations and Feedback: Administer and track student course evaluations, gather feedback, and provide reports to faculty managers and administrators as required to ensure continuous improvement.
    • Resource Coordination: Coordinate course resources such as textbooks, digital material and any additional instruction tools needed by facilitators.
    • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Assist in the administration of the department’s LMS, including uploading course materials, tracking student progress and basic troubleshooting.
    • Academic Report Maintenance: Ensure accurate record-keeping of course rosters, grades and other essential academic documentation.
  1. General Administration (25%)
    • Financial Management: Assist with financial tasks such as tracking expenditure, processing invoices, and managing payment to external vendors. As required (but rarely) assist in reconciliation of accounts and preparing financial reports and forecasts.
    • Procurement and Contracts: Assist in procurement activities and manage vendor contracts with department policies.
    • Concierge and Support Services: Provide concierge support to the Diplomatic Academy, facilitators, or visitors, including managing logistics and catering.
    • Administrative Support: Perform a variety of general administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, filing and handling correspondence, and ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations (including management of shared mailboxes).
    • Other Duties as Assigned: Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the broader objects of the Learning Business Operations Section/Diplomatic Academy.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in course coordination or academic administration including strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in LMS administration or ability to quickly learn.
  • Effective stakeholder management with effective verbal and written communication.
  • Adaptability to change, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking ability.
  • Competency in financial tasks, budgeting, and procurement (desirable).

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • To be eligible for employment in this role, you must be able to provide evidence of Australian citizen.
  • Successful candidates will be required to hold a minimum Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance prior to commence the role.

In this role you will set the revenue operations strategy, managing the revenue operations budget, maximizing user and asset value, initiating and growing alternative revenue streams, and delivering on revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term revenue operations strategies
  • Set, track, and report on revenue-related KPIs
  • Research and implement diverse revenue streams across company assets
